I just saw on here that I have only done 22 posts this year. What the hell is that about?? I really need to get back online at home. Except I kind of enjoy not being connected to the internet at home. I just feel more connected to my home life this way. If that makes sense. Not that I don't miss my online friends, of course.
I didn't get to start fall quarter since my scholarship wasn't approved in time. Which means I will have a really full course load in winter quarter. What is there really to do in the winter, anyway, right?
I still have a Disney World entry/entries to do. Nothing like being late...lol. I finally found my camera charger and can go get my pictures put onto a CD to add on here. I wrote out notes so I can remember what happened there. Since my memory is not as good as it used to be. Ahem.
Well, I hope everyone is doing good...I will post again soon!!

Still alive here. Haven't had a working computer this summer. I have to go to the library to do my school work, but it's kind of good because I can concentrate there.
I will try to do a real update soon. Tyler starts school next week.
Oh, and I finally have a real-life friend...lol. She is the mom of one of Tyler's friends and it is really nice to have someone to go to sappy girly movies and stuff.
Hope everyone has had a great summer!!

I am trying to do more blog entries, so hopefully some of my readers will return...lol.
Summer is moving right along. We have nothing special planned this year. Maybe a long weekend up to Michigan, but not sure about that. Tyler has summer school starting in late July and maybe a basketball camp or two.
Tyler is still playing baseball, but not really liking it. He has to sit on the bench a couple innings a game. He is the most consistent hitter they have, though. But, Scott told the coach last year that he "couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag" so....Tyler gets to sit. Scott's nephew is on the team too. It is nice to have his sisters to sit with and watch the games. They lost every game but one so far. Yesterday the score was 23-0. We had the nothing. Which kind of makes the whole unable to coach well thing....well, true. He sits on the bench and does nothing. No encouragement, no support, no here is what you did wrong and how to change it...nothing.
Anyway...
I pulled a muscle in the middle of my back a few hours ago. All I did was turn to the side. Pisses me off that it takes just one wrong move to hurt this much. I guess I will have to get back to working out to strengthen those muscles.
I am in love with Sonic slushies. If you haven't had one...you. must. have. one. Seriously, they have real fruit in them and they are sooo good. And from 2-4 pm they are all half-price. My favorite right now is the strawberry limeade. But, I am drinking just a lime one right now as I type.
Well, I am in the midst of doing 5070573057 loads of laundry, so I will

Wow, I think this is the 3rd entry this week.
A new record for this blog lately.
Unfortunately, I have nothing of importance to say.
Tyler has 2 baseball games tomorrow. Starting at 10 am. I hate morning baseball. Because I am sooo not a morning person.
I have become a coupon user. A serious one. I have them sorted out by type, and by date, and all that good stuff. Only problem with it...it takes foreverrrr to shop. I have started making a list and taking out the ones I will need...which helps some. I decided since I am bringing no income in right now...this is my way of helping out.
Dang, I really thought I had something more exciting than this to talk about...lol...
Anyway....
Have a great weekend : )

It's official.
I am now a student at our local community college.
I am really excited...but nervous about starting over at my age. Brianna went with me to show me around since I haven't been a student there for....cough25yearscough.
I am working on getting a certificate in medical coding and billing. I can continue on and get a degree in it if I want.
But, I didn't have to take placement tests in reading or writing, so that was good. I did have to take the math one, though. We won't discuss how badly I did on the algebra section. Ahem. I did it quickly...but I told Brianna...I could have sat there for a week..and it would not have helped...lol.
I am only taking 5 credit hours this quarter. I found out today that they offer a scholarship for displaced workers (nice word for laid off/you have no job loser/get a life). If I get it, it will cover about 90% of my costs for the next quarters.
One of my classes is online. I may have to take the laptop to a cafe near here and work off of their Wifi. I am pretty sure I can't do it on this one right now. But, online was the only class in this course that was left.
Oh, and I figured out today that my many, many, many years of being a hypochondriac will finally pay off...I have already looked up so many symptoms/diseases/procedures on my own that I already know some of the terminology for my first class : )~

I suck at this blogging thing.
I like Blogger, I just don't feel the sense of community that I felt when I was on AOL journals.
Anyway.
My life has been too boring to blog about.
We went to Scott's niece's house for Memorial Day. Scott had to work so he didn't get to go. It was so nice to go to a party where I didn't do all of the cooking.
Tyler is now out of school. He didn't do very well again this year...but there are definite signs of improvement in his maturity level. He passed 4 out of 5 of the state tests he needs to graduate. The one he failed he missed by 1 point. He is rarely home these days. He has the typical busy social life of a teenager.
Brianna is working a lot of hours at a local amusement park. There is so much I would like to write about here. But I can't. We fight now more than ever. I am totally opposed to who she is in love with. They are controlling. And immature. And not good enough for Brianna. She is living with this person. And I think she is too young to be in this situation. She wants me to let her make her own mistakes and learn from them. I try...but so hard to keep my mouth shut most days.
Scott and I are already starting to feel like we are empty-nesters. We spend most evenings alone. We play a lot of Wii. I kick his butt in darts, he kicks mine in every other game Wii could ever invent.
I babysat my sister's kids last Saturday night. I was kind of nervous because Tyler usually comes with me to occupy the boys (8 and 6). I walked in and the oldest said "oh, you are flying solo today, huh?" Cracked me up. My niece is almost 7 months old now. And too freaking cute for words. I will have to post a pic of her when I can. The evening went well, though. The baby had cried all day, so she was an angel for me. The boys watched cartoons with me, and played on the laptop. And did a dance for me. And they conned me into making them triple dip ice cream cones. Because I made the mistake of telling them I used to work at an ice cream store. Then I had to clean ice cream out of the 6 year old's nose when he was done eating.
Still doing well on the Lamictal. Well, except for the rash I developed that I had to see my family doctor for because it can cause a rash that can kill you. No stress there, right?? I called my psychiatrist as soon as I saw some spots and left a message that basically ended with "I am really freaking out here...call me back." And then when I had to see my family doctor (a new one) I had to tell her that I have an anxiety disorder and "I am really freaking out here!!" Good times, good times. The rash is gone now, thank goodness.
I am on Facebook now. I tried to resist it. But it is kind of cool catching up with my family's daily lives. Without, you know, having to actually talk to them...lol. I also re-connected with a best friend from high school, and a cousin I haven't seen in about 25 years.
Does anyone here Twitter? I know it is huge right now...but I just can't get into it. Probably because I have no cell phone. I know people who twitter (tweat?) all day long. Seems very time consuming to keep up with everyone else on there too. Maybe I am just getting old, and it is really a lot of fun.
I am going to try to be more regular. On here, that is. Ha.

Because I love them so.....
What bill do you hate paying the most? all of them
Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner? Ha. Ha. Ha. Not since we were dating.
What do you miss about being a child? The innocence. Long summer days spent just playing. The excitement of a new school year. Believing in Santa.
What errand/chore do you hate? cleaning toilets
What do you get every time you go into Walmart? usually a headache : ) I rarely go, usually only at Christmas. Or to buy camping stuff.
Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual? Not at all. I wish everyone who wanted to be married, could be.
What famous person would you like to have dinner with? Denzel Washington. I admire him as an actor. And he's gorgeous. But beyond that, I really admire that he has stayed married in a career where they don't often last long. And he seems to fly under the radar and stay out of the limelight. I like that.
Where would you like to go in California that you have never visited? San Francisco. My fear of flying is the only thing that has stopped me from going.
At this point in your life would you rather start a new career, or a new relationship? definitely a new career
Do you have a go-to person? For....??? For ranting/venting...yes, I have someone for that.
Are you where you want to be in life? No. I would like to be more financially secure and prepared for retirement. Oh, and be done with school and have a job/career.
Over the years, what do you think has changed the most about yourself? my weight : ) I have changed so much since my 20's. I was a wild child. I am at peace now.
Looking back at high school, were they the best years of your life? lordy, no. It was fun...but not the best by any stretch of the imagination.
Are there times when you still feel like a kid? yep
Where was the hang out spot when you were a teenager? I lived in a rural area, so sporting events were huge. And everyone "cruised" McDonalds parking lot in the next town over. Because there are no McDonalds in my town. Still.
Who do you think impacted your life the most? My kids
Do you tell stories that start with "when I was your age?" Sigh. Sadly, I do.
What is the scariest thing that happened to you as an adult? We were at a flea market buying a puppy, and in the excitement, Tyler wandered off. He was in the next booth. But I have never felt that level of fear in my life. It almost felt like an out of body experience.
What advice would you give to someone about to get married? You think you are in love now, but you have no idea. True love comes from years together. From dealing with sickness and health issues, and late bills, and crying infants, and the death of a parent. True love is seeing the other person's faults and still knowing you would not want to be anywhere else in the world. And that it is work. Hard work. Totally worth it...but happiness doesn't just happen. Oh, and to laugh. Alot.
What advice would you give to someone starting their first job? Uhh, don't sleep with the boss : )
If you could go back and change one thing you did, what would it be? Marrying my ex-husband.
If you could go back and change one thing someone else did, what would it be? Brianna moving out
