I can't believe it has been almost 2 weeks since I did an entry.
Brianna is doing well, but her hours at work got cut so who knows what happens now. She got sick yesterday but is off all weekend so I hope she recovers in time. I gave her a bag of the over the counter stuff I bought for us.
We have all been sick with the flu. Scott got it first and Tyler and I got it a couple of days later. Recovering now but it was rough for a few days. At one point I was ready to just throw us all in the car and go to the ER. Our fevers were 103* at that point but thankfully that did not last long.
It is freezing here. -9*. With the wind chill it is -30* or so.
Good times.
My cold water pipe is frozen in the kitchen.
I found out yesterday that the vent for my kitchen was closed.
Sigh.
Our bathroom and laundry room have about 0 insulation in them. That will be fixed this spring or summer. It feels like you are walking into Antarctica to do laundry.
I wish I were kidding.
There is frost on the door in there. On the inside knob.
I started doing laundry just to have the dryer keep it warmer in there.
My downstairs shower drain is frozen.
This happens every year.
Scott swears he will go in that area and wrap the pipes with something I can't remember right now this spring.
Tyler's asst. principal emailed me back and said Tyler needs a doctor's note for being off. Yeah, don't have one. Who goes to the doctor for the flu? Am I weird? You can't treat it with antibiotics anyway, so what's the point?
I am out of all liquid refreshments at this time. I hope Scott will stop for some on his way home because it is too freaking cold for me to go out there.
Next week it will be 20*. That will seem warm at this point.
It is -60* in parts of Alaska. Tyler and I were watching a segment on the news about it. A school principal came on to talk and said they don't cancel outside recess unless it is below -20*. WTF????? They must be a whole lot tougher than Ohioans because our state would close down at those temps. Seriously. There are whole cities listed as closed now because of the cold we have.
Have a happy weekend everyone : )

We had the cold too, two days off for Josh. Too bad the kids don't see when school gets called off, and your SO happy, summer vacation is then shorter because of that.
Glad to hear all of you are on the mend and feeling better. I hope Brianna is feeling better too. The sickies that have been going around this year are just awful.
Talk to you soon! Miss you!
*hugs*
I would HIGHLY recommend heading out to GNC and grabbing a bottle of Vitamin D3. Do it!!!
Sorry about the cold... its that cold (no, colder!) here too. But it will get warmer!
You have a blessed day my dear!
Amanda
