Catching up....
Not much going on with me right now....just hating the weather and hoping for spring.
Scott is having issues with the builder he works with. I can't really go into it...but I just hope it works out well in the end. He may have to move on and work with other builders in the future. I am really stressed about being unemployed right now. I hate this feeling. If I was working I wouldn't worry so much about all of this.
Brianna is doing okay. She lost her job at the bakery but has a new job starting in April at an amusement park near us. She will be working in games where she has to talk alot. I can't imagine anything more perfect for her...lol. She is looking for a local part time job as well. She will find her way....I am sure of that.
Tyler has become a basketball playing fool. He joined the local YMCA and plays about 20 hours a week. He has lost 9 pounds in a month and is really getting into shape. He started a food and wellness class this quarter which has made him think more about what he eats and the exercise he gets. He has stayed out of trouble at school except for one incident last week. His grades are slowllyyyy improving. I did get a letter to attend some parent/teacher conferences this week...and I gotta say that I am nervous. I always feel like a bad mom when they talk to me. They try to make me feel like my kid is the only one that misbehaves in school.
Good thoughts and prayers sent my family's way would be appreciated. My nephews have whooping cough. Not really sure how since they have been vaccinated. I realize some kids in the school haven't been...but not sure how it spreads to others who have been. The elementary school he goes to is calling it an "outbreak" since many kids have it now. My dad has been exposed and got treated for it. His lungs are severely compromised (working at 30%) due to having COPD so this could be very serious if he didn't catch it in time. Also, my 2 month old niece has been exposed. She has had one round of the vaccine, though.
I actually wrote this entry a few days ago but I lost my internet connection. I forgot that Blogger saves them as you go. I have to say, that is one of the features that I really like on here.

Good for Tyler! I am really proud of him! The Y really has some great programs. I am happy to hear he found something he enjoys to do, and that is helping with his "teenage" growth too. I hope your conference at the school go well.
Good thoughts and prayers sent you families way for sure. I really pray your dad caught it in time... How scary.
*hugs*
Sounds like you are a family of survivors. :) I would be MORE than happy to pray for you and yours... sounds like a little prayer could do wonders.
I really like your new blog layout! Very beautious!
Many blessings-
Amanda
I hope things have worked out for Scott. Stressing out doesn't change anything so try to relax. Everything always works out.
I'm glad to hear Brianna is well. You're right, she will find her way. Good for Tyker for becoming active and making better food choices! He needs to teach us all how to live...lol
Whooping cough...YUCK!!! I hope everybody is on the mend by now. Poor things.
Luv~Heather
